About the position

The Coordinator, Event Operations at NASCAR is responsible for overseeing the operational planning and execution of Event Experience activations during event weekends. This role focuses on managing pre-race ceremonies and victory lane celebrations, as well as programming and operations of infield experiences at assigned tracks throughout the season. The position requires strategic and creative thinking, along with collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the cross-functional team in the ideation, planning and execution of programming strategy for fan programming and content efforts at events.
  • Manage logistics and operations for pre-race ceremonies and post-race celebrations.
  • Collaborate and execute the vision of each respective track and track teammates.
  • Develop maps and operations schedules for Pre-Race setup, execution, and breakdown.
  • Serve as the lead for the driver intro parade lap.
  • Build relationships and communicate effectively with key industry stakeholders such as track operations, Series Operations, competition, and security.
  • Develop and implement an activation strategy for infield experiences at respective venues.
  • Assist in planning, setup, and execution for operations-based fan events such as autograph sessions and Hauler Parades.
  • Assist the Event Experience special events teammate in planning and execution of at-track fan events and camper programming.
  • Assist Track Marketing & Group Sales to execute Kids VIP, Group Sales events and ticket packages.
  • Build strong working relationships and encourage collaboration with all regional and central departments.

Requirements

  • College degree, preferably in a related business field, such as Marketing or Sports Management.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of sports and event experience required.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and can manage a project from start to finish.
  • Strong ability to think strategically, creatively, and quickly.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to work through on-site event logistics and think operationally.
  • True team player and collaborator.
  • Ability to coordinate and deliver multiple projects at once within strict deadlines.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and event weekends.
  • Valid driver's license.
