The Coordinator for Academic Success at North Greenville University plays a pivotal role in enhancing student success and retention through the implementation and management of key services. This full-time position is housed within Campus Ministries and Student Engagement (CMSE) and requires the Coordinator to engage with students regularly, connecting them with resources that help them overcome barriers to their academic success. The Coordinator is expected to maintain meaningful, discipleship-oriented relationships with students, reflecting the university's Christian values. Reporting directly to the Director for Student Success, the Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing various academic support services, including tutoring and academic counseling, while also contributing to the development of strategies aimed at supporting academically at-risk students. In this role, the Coordinator will manage software that supports student success initiatives and oversee tutoring services on the Tigerville campus. This includes developing a detailed schedule of tutoring offerings, facilitating tutor training, and maintaining accurate records for payroll purposes. The Coordinator may also be required to teach the Transitional Reading Course as needed and will provide academic counseling to students who are identified as academically at-risk. Monitoring the attendance alert system and collaborating with colleagues in Student Success to create effective strategies for high-risk student groups are also key responsibilities of this position. The Coordinator will perform other duties as assigned by the AVP for Student Flourishing, ensuring a comprehensive approach to student support.
