About The Position

The Coordinator for Fraternity & Sorority Life at Oregon State University is a full-time professional faculty position responsible for supporting the functions of Fraternity and Sorority Life. This role involves advising governing councils, individual fraternities and sororities, and implementing initiatives to enhance the fraternity/sorority community. The Coordinator will work to foster relationships with various stakeholders and support educational outreach programs to advance the OSU community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in education, communication, social sciences, political science, business or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years professional work experience in higher education or student development.
  • Affiliation with an inter/national fraternal organization.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with governing councils and/or Greek-letter organizations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in student affairs, education, public policy or student services.
  • Experience with assessment and evaluation of programs and events.
  • Knowledge of legal issues in Higher Education and risk management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee assigned program areas within fraternity/sorority life, including leadership development and risk management.
  • Provide advisory support to two of five recognized fraternity/sorority governing councils.
  • Coordinate annual leadership retreat programming and support Greek Week events.
  • Support council and community-wide recruitment and membership intake initiatives.
  • Maintain the CFSL website and calendar.
