About the position

The Coordinator for Student Life Operations at High Point University is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and families by managing the Office of Student Life front desk. This role involves overseeing front desk staff, ensuring operational duties are completed efficiently, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of the Office of Student Life front desk and staff.
• Deliver the HPU experience by ensuring consistent and accurate responses to inquiries via phone, email, social media, and in-person.
• Manage daily operational tasks including appointment scheduling, returning voicemails/emails, and supply ordering.
• Assist with maintaining office equipment and monitoring inventory levels.
• Hire and train student staff to provide efficient service to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with various departments to resolve issues and concerns promptly.
• Complete submissions of work orders, IT service tickets, and room reservations for office-wide events.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to major functions such as Move-In and end-of-year closing.
• Maintain an organized reception area and update internal office resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1 to 2 years of customer service experience in a professional setting.
• Significant computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organization, planning, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
