About the position

The Coordinator for International Marketing at Universal Music Group (UMG) plays a pivotal role in supporting the SVP of Global Marketing and the broader global marketing team. This position is designed for a highly organized and creative individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Coordinator will manage high-level correspondence and coordinate with key global executives across various time zones, ensuring seamless communication and project execution. A strong digital presence and a deep understanding of pop culture are essential, as the role involves assisting in the development and execution of innovative short-form content strategies tailored to resonate with global audience segments across key markets. In addition to administrative support, which includes scheduling, travel coordination, and meeting preparation, the Coordinator will be responsible for pulling, compiling, and analyzing comprehensive global reports using internal tools and third-party platforms such as Spot On Track, Chart Metric, and Radio Monitor. The role also requires creative collaboration, where the Coordinator will contribute ideas and solutions for marketing campaigns, leveraging their understanding of digital trends and pop culture. Furthermore, the Coordinator will assist in the creation and distribution of content across key digital platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, Discord, and X (formerly Twitter). This position is integral to the success of UMG's global marketing initiatives, making it an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about music and digital media.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the SVP of Global Marketing, including scheduling, travel coordination, meeting preparation, and managing high-level correspondence.
  • Coordinate with global marketing leads and executives across various time zones to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
  • Assist in the development and execution of innovative short-form content strategies tailored to resonate with global audience segments across key markets.
  • Pull, compile, and analyze comprehensive global reports using internal tools and third-party platforms such as Spot On Track, Chart Metric, and Radio Monitor.
  • Contribute creative ideas and solutions for marketing campaigns, drawing on an in-depth understanding of pop culture and digital trends.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of content across key digital platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, Discord, and X (formerly Twitter).

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a marketing or digital media role, preferably within the music industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of global markets and cultural nuances.
  • Proficiency in digital platforms, with a focus on short-form content creation and social media strategy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
