About the position

The position of Marketing and Communications Specialist at CTA involves overseeing both internal communications and external marketing campaigns to effectively promote the HR recruitment strategy. This role requires the development of original content and creative messaging that drives branded communications across various platforms, including the website, social media, digital displays, print collateral, and email advertising. The specialist will coordinate recognition programs and support outreach efforts aligned with CTA's Diversity Recruitment Plan. The primary responsibilities include executing communication and marketing efforts designed to attract top talent and position CTA as an employer of choice. The specialist will partner with senior management and Talent Acquisition to develop marketing strategies and materials, including content development and design coordination. The role also involves creating visual and audio-visual products to enhance recruitment marketing and internal employee engagement initiatives. This includes participating in the design, development, and evaluation of audio-visual materials, managing timelines, scripts, directing actors, camera work, and editing. Additionally, the specialist will write and edit digital communication materials, utilize Adobe Creative Cloud products for video and audio editing, and use analytics to measure engagement and reach. The role requires collaboration with various departments to develop and update content for internal and external communications, highlighting departmental accomplishments and initiatives. The specialist will also manage the social media calendar and daily LinkedIn content, plan and deliver culture and engagement initiatives, and act as a liaison between divisions to establish programs and develop methods for implementation. The position requires effective communication with employees at all levels, managing multiple projects, and balancing competing priorities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least one year of marketing and communications experience, with a preference for project management and graphic design experience. Physical requirements include remaining stationary for extended periods and the ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. The working environment is primarily an office setting, with some travel required for fieldwork.

Responsibilities

  • Execute communication and marketing efforts designed to attract top talent and position CTA as an employer of choice.
  • Partner with senior manager and Talent Acquisition to develop marketing and outreach strategies and materials.
  • Develop visual and audio-visual products to enhance recruitment marketing and internal employee engagement initiatives.
  • Participate in the design, development, preparation, creation, presentation, and evaluation of audio-visual materials.
  • Write and edit digital communication materials and other content as requested.
  • Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud products to digitally import, export, and edit video, audio, and digital files.
  • Use analytics to measure engagement and reach, developing reports and strategic guidance.
  • Identify appropriate media outlets, paid media opportunities, and community partners to reach target audiences.
  • Collaborate with Manager to ensure marketing strategies align with overall HR business strategy.
  • Support HR's strategic communications team by developing and implementing key messages for internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to regularly develop and update content for internal and external communication.
  • Highlight department accomplishments and initiatives for publication in internal and external media.
  • Manage social media calendar and daily LinkedIn content.
  • Plan and deliver culture, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between divisions and departments to establish programs and develop viable methods of program implementation.
  • Regularly update the organization on engagement initiatives through an established communication calendar.
  • Communicate department initiatives, plans, policies, and procedures to CTA staff and the public.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and administration of Human Resources outreach projects and policies.
  • Establish relationships within the organization and the community to enhance client and community partnerships for recruitment.
  • Support the execution of recruitment and diversity events in collaboration with community-based organizations.
  • Help coordinate and host hiring events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Visual or Electronic Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Advertising, Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field.
  • One (1) year of marketing and communications experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in project management preferred.
  • Previous experience in graphic design and the ability to create customer-friendly website and social media graphics.

  • Experience in managing social media channels and present-day trends in social media engagement.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas to the general public in a concise and engaging manner.
