About the position

The Coordinator II Label Production role at Ahold Delhaize USA involves creating and maintaining packaging label designs for a diverse portfolio of private brands. This position requires effective collaboration with team members and external partners to ensure that all designs meet brand standards and production timelines. The role is essential in managing multiple design projects, ensuring accuracy in production, and supporting the overall brand strategy.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain packaging label design mechanical artwork for private brand portfolio.
• Ensure all designs meet Private Brand standards and accuracy of packaging information.
• Review digital proofs for accuracy and upload to workflow portal for stakeholder approval.
• Produce label designs and execute the release to prepress and printers.
• Resolve production issues related to package designs by communicating with relevant stakeholders.
• Format typesetting and graphics on package design projects according to established guidelines.
• Collaborate with design team peers and third-party providers to deliver high-quality designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic or commercial art, similar degree or equivalent job experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in the industry with a focus on production and pre-press.
• High level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Strong understanding of all print processes (offset, flexography, rotogravure, dry offset).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities with attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience building food or food-related product labels.
• Extensive knowledge of print methods and their limitations.
• Proficient conceptual skills in design, layout, copy fitting, text treatment.
