About the position

The Coordinator II, Special Projects role at Dallas Independent School District focuses on teacher recruitment and strategic marketing efforts. This position is responsible for developing social media campaigns, managing recruitment events, and engaging with potential candidates to attract top teaching talent. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social media management, marketing, and recruitment, with a passion for education.

Responsibilities

  • Source candidates daily for ACE campuses through targeted recruitment strategies.
  • Process teacher applications and assess candidate fit for ACE roles.
  • Work closely with hiring managers at ACE campuses, providing candidate recommendations to meet staffing needs.
  • Lead the planning and execution of districtwide teacher job fairs and other recruitment events.
  • Manage all logistical aspects of recruitment events, including venue coordination, promotion, vendor management, and scheduling.
  • Engage with teacher candidates at events, promoting Dallas ISD's mission and culture.
  • Develop and implement engaging social media campaigns to attract teaching candidates.
  • Manage content across social media platforms to highlight recruitment events and teaching opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure alignment with district branding and messaging.
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to optimize campaigns and engagement.
  • Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy for districtwide teacher applications.
  • Coordinate advertising efforts across platforms to reach targeted candidate pools.
  • Use data analytics and recruitment metrics to measure campaign performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Lead and participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars regarding Teacher Recruitment and Retention program initiatives.
  • Compile data from various sources to develop and track Key Performance Indicators related to teacher recruitment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Education, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements for subject and subject level assigned preferred.
  • 2 plus years in direct experience in classroom teaching required.
  • 2 plus years in direct experience in marketing/communication preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and show initiative without consistent supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic approach to content creation and marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data-driven mindset, with experience in recruitment analytics and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of branding, advertising, and candidate engagement strategies.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
