About the position

The Coordinator III - Chief Technology Officer provides professional support to the Division of Technology by performing complex administrative functions. This role assists the Chief Technology Officer in overseeing and organizing the division's operations, ensuring efficient workflow, and managing various projects and initiatives. The position serves as a key point of contact in the absence of leadership and is responsible for maintaining effective office procedures and communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates work with office staff and maintains effective office procedures and efficient workflow.
  • Provides advice and guidance to staff regarding administrative procedures and serves as a liaison with other departments.
  • Prepares presentations and reports for meetings and presentations to the Board using software like PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Initiates and prepares correspondence and reports, reviewing and monitoring submissions from departmental personnel.
  • Conducts research assistance for employee grievances and open records requests.
  • Maintains physical and computerized departmental files.
  • Performs authorized actions during the absence of the Chief and refers matters requiring attention to delegated authority.
  • Assists with departmental programs and projects, including planning and coordinating special projects.
  • Develops short- and long-range plans for projects, including deliverables and timelines.
  • Monitors project progress and keeps teams informed of meetings and decisions.
  • Supports the development of key performance indicators and data collection processes.
  • Monitors compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to technology.
  • Collaborates with District departments to implement programs supporting all student populations.
  • Attends planning meetings and provides updates on program activities.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; Master's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • 5 years' professional experience in a related area.
  • Knowledge of best practices in administration and program management.
  • Knowledge of data information systems and data analysis.
  • Skill in Microsoft Office 365, especially Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a relevant field preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $74,735 - $90,043
  • Exempt position with 239 duty days per year
