About the position

The Coordinator of Intake and Operations at the Student Counseling Center (SCC) is a full-time position responsible for managing the intake process and office operations. This role involves responding to requests for services, scheduling appointments, and assisting the SCC Director with budget management. The Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations and providing support to students in crisis.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the scheduling and intake process for students seeking counseling services using electronic medical record software (Titanium).
  • Assists professional counseling staff in triaging students for services based on urgency.
  • Triages responses to urgent requests from students and/or family members via phone or email.
  • Provides assistance to the SCC Director in budget management and procurement of goods and services.
  • Maintains back-up budgets in Excel to address budget discrepancies.
  • Processes documentation of purchases and maintains files for payments.
  • Manages office operations to ensure efficiency and anticipates supply needs.
  • Recruits, hires, and supervises Federal Work Study students.
  • Answers incoming inquiries and directs them to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in psychology or other social service discipline.
  • Two years of experience in a mental health or physical health setting with confidentiality requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and experience with electronic appointment systems.
  • Knowledge of managing line-item budgets.
  • Excellent administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or other social service discipline.
  • Knowledge of crisis response protocols.
  • Prior experience working on a college campus.
  • Experience working with multiple supervisors.
