About the position

The Legal Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing the administrative functions of the Office of General Counsel. This role involves supporting daily operations, coordinating tasks, projects, and meetings, and ensuring efficient handling of legal documents and files. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders within the university.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates meetings and projects including Board of Regent meetings.
  • Coordinates TPIA requests.
  • Reviews and drafts a broad range of legal documents with guidance.
  • Maintains and organizes office databases and record systems for legal files.
  • Updates and tracks changes to policies.
  • Coordinates external invoice processing.
  • Oversees budget and inventory, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for the Office of General Counsel.
  • Provides guidance to department administrators regarding legal processes.
  • Maintains contact with individuals involved in case matters and generates status reports.

Requirements

  • High school degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience in project management, office management, paralegal, or a related field required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and respond effectively within tight deadlines.
  • Good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Analytical ability to interpret data, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficient in using a personal computer and office equipment.
