About the position

Panera is seeking a finance professional to join its team focused on planning, forecasting, and business analysis. This role is crucial for projecting café revenues, expenses, and profitability, while also delivering insightful reporting and analytics on business performance trends. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi-year financial forecasts, collaborating with the broader organization to develop key assumptions using various datasets.
• Deliver impactful reporting and analysis on business performance to diverse audiences, including café operators and executive team members.
• Leverage new tools and technology to enhance reporting processes and provide meaningful insights regularly.
• Support cross-functional teams in executing key company initiatives by providing reporting, analysis, and business acumen for decision-making.
• Develop comprehensive financial analyses to support strategic initiatives, synthesizing conclusions and formulating recommendations based on outcomes.
• Adapt quickly to changing organizational priorities and complete ad hoc analyses within tight deadlines.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, planning, accounting, investment banking, or consulting.
• Understanding of key financial concepts, including financial statements, cash flow, net present value, and return on investment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex projects and present key details and conclusions.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and other analytical software; experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau) is a plus.
• Familiarity with enterprise planning tools, preferably Anaplan.
• Ability to analyze Panera's business model through metrics and insights that drive action.
