About the position

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Western Kentucky University (WKU) is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies aimed at enhancing undergraduate enrollment. This role involves managing communication plans, creating engaging content, and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing efforts to attract prospective students.

Responsibilities

  • Support the department's mission to develop marketing and recruitment resources to increase prospective student inquiries and matriculation.
  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and implementation of comprehensive communication and marketing plans.
  • Manage project timelines for maximum effectiveness in marketing initiatives.
  • Create and maintain dynamic email templates using HTML, CSS, and liquid markup.
  • Serve as the primary website manager for the Undergraduate Office of Admissions.
  • Create and publish content across multiple social media accounts and platforms, monitoring engagement.
  • Record data including reach, spend, and outcomes of all projects to assess marketing effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns incorporating SEO, social media features, digital advertising strategies, and video campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, professional writing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a professional team environment, including project collaboration and feedback processes.
  • Strong writing and copywriting skills.
