About the position

The Coordinator of Marketing Communication is a vital role within the Recruitment & Outreach department at Central Texas College, primarily located at the Central Campus. This full-time position is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing communications strategies, with a strong emphasis on social media marketing. The coordinator will support outreach efforts at various locations worldwide, ensuring that the college's messaging is effectively communicated to prospective students and the community. The role requires a creative and resourceful individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail. In this position, the coordinator will leverage their expertise in electronic mass communications and social media marketing to create engaging content that resonates with target audiences. They will also be responsible for analyzing data and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, allowing for continuous improvement and adaptation of strategies. The coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders, including students, educational colleagues, and community members, to foster relationships and promote the college's programs and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They should have a proactive approach to problem-solving and be able to demonstrate initiative and creativity in their work. Additionally, familiarity with project management principles and experience in coordinating events will be beneficial in this role. The position may require occasional weekend and evening work, as well as travel to support outreach initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing communications strategies primarily utilizing social media marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field; or an Associate's Degree with two additional years of experience.
  • One year of paid work experience in marketing or marketing communications with a Bachelor's degree; or three years with an Associate's degree.
  • Experience in social media marketing and content development is required.
  • Basic video creation/editing skills for the web are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, HTML/Web Development Software, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting is necessary.
  • Working knowledge of project management is required.

  • Experience in relationship management systems.
  • Experience working in education with military students.
  • Some video production experience.
