About the position

The Marketing Coordinator at Segerstrom Center for the Arts plays a crucial role in implementing our integrated strategic communication and marketing plan. This dynamic position focuses on leveraging data-driven insights to enhance audience engagement and visibility across our programs. The ideal candidate will excel in managing and segmenting marketing lists, utilizing our Tessitura database for targeted campaigns, and analyzing performance metrics. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, creative thinking, and a passion for the performing arts. The specialist will also monitor customer feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of our audience relationship with the Center. We seek a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and adapting to evolving business needs. The marketing department oversees the complete patron experience cycle, from marketing performances to ticket sales, providing excellent customer service and accessibility programs to conducting post-show surveys. The team creates and implements marketing and communication strategies to support our Center's diverse performances, programs, and events, including community engagement and education initiatives. We produce campaigns to sell tickets for individual shows and promote season ticket packages for popular series including Broadway, Dance, Jazz, Family, and more. Beyond promoting specific events, we are responsible for institutional marketing projects that convey the organization's mission, values, and philosophies through branding and tactical messaging. Through highly collaborative work across marketing, communications, ticketing, and audience services teams, we promote our world-class performing arts center and ensure positive patron experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in implementing an integrated strategic communication and marketing plan designed to promote Segerstrom Center for the Arts among our key stakeholders, broaden awareness, and increase the visibility of our programs across relevant audiences.
  • Manage and segment email, social media, and digital marketing lists.
  • Utilize patron information in the Tessitura database information to create targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Generate reports on campaign performance and make comparisons and suggestions for campaign improvement.
  • Monitor and respond to customer service issues identified in post-performance surveys.
  • Create and maintain audience personas for targeted marketing efforts.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for various marketing initiatives.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs as the role may change over time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, analytics, or a related discipline or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school.
  • Previous experience on Tessitura preferred.
  • A passion for the performing arts is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proven capacity to handle multiple projects concurrently and efficiently.
  • Keen attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency.
  • Results-driven approach with a talent for initiative-taking and program implementation.
  • Self-motivated and resilient, adept at both independent work and collaborative teamwork.
