Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and assist in the creative development of college materials such as brochures, reports, and newsletters.
  • Manage the internal and external distribution of informational and promotional materials for the college.
  • Provide informational and educational services to the college community.
  • Collaborate with the ECC Athletic Department on events and promotions for student athletic teams.
  • Create content for social media, website, and other platforms.
  • Assist with writing advertising copy in consultation with department leadership.
  • Oversee and manage calendar content on the website and MyECC.
  • Attend college events, take photos and videos, and write summaries of the events.
  • Assist with copy editing the college catalog.
  • Fulfill other requested duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a regionally accredited (2) year college or university with an associate's degree.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the field of journalism or public relations.
  • Thorough knowledge of public relations principles and practices.
  • Good knowledge of educational principles and practices at the college level.
  • Good working knowledge of journalism principles.
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to develop and maintain harmonious relations with internal and external constituents.
