About the position

The Coordinator of Women's Lacrosse Operations at Princeton University plays a vital role in supporting the varsity women's lacrosse program, which is part of a Division I institution and Ivy League Conference. This position is designed to enhance the overall quality of the program by focusing on the development of student-athletes in various aspects, including their physical, mental, and personal growth. The Coordinator will work under the general supervision of the Head Coach and will not have coaching responsibilities. The mission of the Department of Athletics is to promote excellence in both academics and athletics while fostering an environment of equity, good sportsmanship, and ethical conduct. The Coordinator will be instrumental in ensuring that the program operates smoothly and effectively, contributing to the success of the student-athletes and the team as a whole. In this role, the Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of operational tasks that are essential for the functioning of the women's lacrosse program. This includes coordinating film editing and breakdowns, overseeing the filming of practices and games, and managing the NCAA and Ivy League film exchange. The Coordinator will also assist in strategy development through analytics and will be responsible for scouting opponent personnel. Additionally, the role involves managing the recruiting database, creating and sending out recruiting mailers, and organizing on-campus visits for potential recruits. The Coordinator will also handle scheduling for various events, including Friends Events and player/coach appearances within the Princeton community and surrounding areas. This position requires a high level of lacrosse knowledge and excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and manage confidential information effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate film editing and breakdowns within the lacrosse office
  • Oversee filming and video including capture of all practices, home, and away games
  • Acquire video of future opponents
  • Manage the NCAA and IVY film exchange
  • Assist in strategy development through the use of analytics
  • Responsible for opponent personnel scout
  • Assist in management of recruiting database of potential recruits
  • Create and send out recruiting mailers for targeted recruits
  • Plan and organize on-campus visits
  • Manage subscriptions of both online and offline recruiting services
  • Schedule and coordinate all Friends Events (i.e. HC Appearances, Alumni Game, etc.)
  • Schedule all player/coach appearances within the Princeton community and immediate surrounding areas

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • High level of lacrosse knowledge
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Necessary computer skills such as Microsoft Office and graphics
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Recognize the importance of recruiting to the success of the program
  • Trustworthy with confidential material
