About the position

The Coordinator of Operations at Signal of Memphis is a pivotal role designed for an experienced leader who can effectively build, lead, and execute scalable growth within a rapidly expanding franchise. This position requires flexible availability, including weekends, overnights, and 12-hour shifts, to meet the dynamic needs of the business. The Coordinator will work closely with the Franchise Owners and the Director to foster a collaborative environment that promotes a strong culture for both the team and customers. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, approachable, and accountable, with a strong focus on developing and implementing a scalable operational plan that ensures optimal efficiency and compliance. In this role, the Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and managing the daily activities of the Dedicated Officers at the assigned site. This includes assisting the Director in managing operational efficiency to ensure that all on-site services run smoothly and effectively. The Coordinator will also be expected to exhibit excellent customer service while engaging with clients and maintaining a visible presence among the current business portfolio. The responsibilities of this position are not exhaustive and may evolve based on the changing needs of the business. Key soft skills required for this role include visioning, strategic planning, financial acumen, team development, and project management. The Coordinator must understand the big picture and the requirements necessary to deliver services that align with the company's values and goals. They will be responsible for effectively engaging in planning and executing daily responsibilities while meeting established deadlines and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the Coordinator will play a crucial role in developing officers and supervisors for success, overseeing their training, scheduling, and performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall quality of service to assigned accounts/clients.
  • Direct accountability for operational KPIs including labor efficiencies, dedicated shift completion, employee retention, and customer retention.
  • Develop officers and supervisors for success through hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching.
  • Work alongside the Director in the hiring and onboarding process.
  • Continuously improve processes, quality of service, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all shifts are filled at least one month in advance and approve time off requests.
  • Review daily activity and incident reports, communicating needs between clients and upper management.
  • Oversee maintenance and condition of all franchise equipment.
  • Organize and host weekly meetings with Branch Dedicated Supervisors to review operational priorities and client issues.
  • Notify the Director of any issues in the field for timely follow-up.
  • Monitor company policies and procedures through inspections and spot checks.
  • Issue disciplinary actions in accordance with the employee handbook.
  • Foster a positive working environment through feedback and recognition programs.
  • Communicate with the Director during monthly meetings to review scorecards and operational priorities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of management or leadership experience.
  • Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to established procedures and solve problems effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to service and professionalism.
  • Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
