Under the direction of the Regional Procurement Manager, the Procurement Coordinator plays a crucial role in identifying and executing cost savings initiatives while building strong supplier relationships. This position is essential for ensuring a continuous supply of materials and services, all while effectively managing working capital. The Procurement Coordinator collaborates closely with Category Managers and Operations to develop specific category strategies that aim to provide the lowest cost of ownership solutions without compromising on the quality of materials and services provided. In addition to these responsibilities, the Procurement Coordinator oversees working capital initiatives through collaboration with Operations and the Supplier base. This role requires a proactive approach to purchasing and negotiation for CAPEX projects, parts, and services, ensuring that the fulfillment of goods and services requirements is achieved in a timely manner. The Procurement Coordinator is also responsible for developing, leading, and monitoring new negotiations and working capital initiatives, participating in the annual maintenance forecast and budget in conjunction with Operations and Maintenance. Effective communication is key in this role, as the Procurement Coordinator must guarantee the flow of information among Procurement, Operations, and Maintenance. Regular reporting on significant activities to the Regional Procurement Manager is also a critical aspect of this position. Adherence to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations while on site is mandatory, and the Procurement Coordinator must wear proper safety equipment while performing their duties.
