About the position

The Coordinator, Product Development Operations at David Yurman plays a crucial role in supporting new product development operations. This position focuses on managing essential activities that drive success in product development, including handling spreadsheets, shipping, invoicing, and vendor management. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining effective communication with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of spreadsheets & processes related to shipping, sampling, and invoicing.
  • Shipping & receiving product daily to external vendors and internal teams.
  • Assist with entry & maintenance on consignment, sold sales orders, product returns, and work orders.
  • Manage, organize, and keep records of all vendor invoices.
  • Manage, track, and create sample and testing purchase orders (POs).
  • Assist the VP of Product Development with special projects.
  • Provide analytical support including data collection and technical metrics.
  • Support additional manufacturing and engineering-related initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain systems including project management software (PLM, Oracle) and component shell setups.

Requirements

  • Highly skilled with computers, particularly databases and spreadsheets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Proactive and willing to take initiative on processes.
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter attitude with a willingness to take on projects without hesitation.
  • Knowledge of modern jewelry manufacturing techniques and precious metal metallurgy is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in New Product Development and/or Manufacturing Process Improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Oracle software.
  • Familiarity with InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of modern jewelry manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience with precious metal metallurgy and investment casting.
