About the position

The Production Operations Coordinator at Company 3 is responsible for the setup and support of daily color sessions, both on-site and remote. This role involves managing logistics, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring smooth operations for the colorist team. The coordinator will handle task management, bay setups, and communication across global sites, providing essential support and solutions to enhance the efficiency of production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the setup and prep of all supervised and non-supervised sessions.
  • Work with Scheduling to ensure resources are sourced for upcoming sessions.
  • Delegate and assign daily tasks using task management applications (Asana, ClickUp, etc).
  • Schedule and operate virtual session tools (Clearview Flex, Clearview Pivot, Streambox, TViPs).
  • Coordinate with the Engineering team to troubleshoot any technical session issues.
  • Ensure all post-session deliverables and renders are completed in collaboration with show producers and lead assists.
  • Manage smooth transitions between support shifts.
  • Work with the Deliverables team to ensure proper Quality Check protocols are followed.
  • Ensure projectors and reference displays are properly calibrated in collaboration with Engineering.
  • Create and maintain documentation regarding training, workflows, resources, troubleshooting, and image science.
  • Manage Resolve databases and application upgrades with Engineering.
  • Manage SAN usage and archiving with the Data I/O team.
  • Implement shift-based Color Assistant coverage with the Director of Production Operations.
  • Review and improve color bay uniformity with the Director of Production Operations.

Requirements

  • Prior working experience in Post Production, in a Production or Operations role.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of virtual tools such as Clearview Flex, Pivot, and Streambox.
  • Experience with operations of displays and projectors designed for color grading and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage client expectations and support multiple urgencies.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, at a fast pace, with a calm and collected manner and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve and Filmlight Baselight.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with task management applications like Asana and ClickUp.
  • Familiarity with color grading processes and tools.
