About the position

The Coordinator Program Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is designed for those who are passionate about delivering patient-centered care. In this role, you will spend more time at the bedside with patients, ensuring that their needs are met through effective communication and education. The Program Coordinator functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team and serves as an advocate and educator for maternal patients. Your primary function will be to ensure that patients, staff, and physicians have the necessary information and educational resources for their treatment plans. This will involve building strong relationships with patients and physicians, providing education, and representing the patients within the multidisciplinary care environment. As a Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing resources to achieve efficient, high-quality outcomes for patients. This includes supporting interdisciplinary and cross-facility coverage and collaboration. You will act as a liaison between patients and families, physicians involved in patient care, internal and external healthcare providers, support network members, and the wider healthcare community. Collaboration with local physician liaisons and leadership will be essential to provide formal and informal staff education, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of teaching through feedback from staff and multidisciplinary team members. This role is crucial in ensuring that all parties involved in patient care are well-informed and supported throughout the treatment process.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an advocate and educator for maternal patients.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License in Labor and Delivery.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent professional experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.

Nice-to-haves
