About the position

The Coordinator, Program Planning & Content Strategy at FOX Entertainment will assist in all aspects of television program scheduling, including both non-linear and linear formats. This role involves budget planning, development of new software tools, and providing administrative support while communicating scheduling information across departments. The position is integral to the strategic planning of programming and requires analytical skills to synthesize data for informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Assist on all department projects and presentations utilizing analytical tools in VPS to yield insights about historic and future strategies for FOX and its competitors.
  • Synthesize and analyze project data, both quantitative and qualitative, to inform scheduling decisions.
  • Keep up with industry news and trends, research and track information on competitive networks, and maintain external contacts.
  • Enter and maintain program metadata for all series and specials into the scheduling system (VPS) and manage data flow to downstream systems.
  • Maintain a database of show cuts and screen all FOX programming to note episodic themes for optimal primetime scheduling placement.
  • Ensure all materials and digital files are organized, accessible company-wide, and available when requested.
  • Beta test and collaborate on new tools in partnership with the IT department.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly scheduling meeting documents for department heads.
  • Provide backup support to VP for linear program planning and to Director for non-linear program planning.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as multi-participant meeting scheduling, limited travel planning, and ordering supplies.

Requirements

  • Interest in television product and industry.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Prior office or internship experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint with the ability to adapt to new software systems.
  • Ability to tell a compelling story with data.
  • Ability to deduce information from multiple sources.
  • Strong written and phone skills with external clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with external contacts on scheduling matters.

Nice-to-haves
