About the position

The Rehab Office Coordinator at Powerback Rehabilitation plays a crucial role in the administrative management of the rehabilitation department. This position is responsible for ensuring that all clerical, housekeeping, and administrative services are efficiently managed to support the therapy staff and enhance patient care. The coordinator will assist in maintaining compliance with licensing, tracking physician orders, and ensuring the overall organization of the rehab office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Rehab in the administrative management of the rehabilitation department.
  • Ensure all therapist and assistant licenses are current and posted.
  • Assist therapy staff in identifying and removing barriers to treatment and providing clinical education to meet patient needs.
  • Complete all department maintenance including cleaning of mats and equipment, monitoring hydrocollator units, and stocking supplies.
  • Ensure therapists are current for all mandatory in-services.
  • Track and ensure all rehab staff are current for PPDs.
  • Track physician orders and signatures.
  • Track annual screens and notify therapists.
  • Review QIR monthly for changes and report to Director of Rehab.
  • Complete technical audits of charts ensuring all documentation is present.
  • Orient all new staff to the center and department under the direction of the Director of Rehab.
  • Track due dates of merit reviews and collect feedback for performance reviews as directed.
  • Coordinate scheduling of all per diem/casual staff under the direction of the Director of Rehab.
  • Track productivity and efficiency.
  • Submit billing.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling with nursing under the direction of therapists.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
