About the position

The Coordinator of Student Welfare at the University of Wyoming is responsible for supporting students in self-care, self-management, and self-advocacy. This role involves working with students facing various crises, including academic, personal, financial, mental, and physical health issues. The Coordinator will engage in non-clinical case management, collaborating with campus resources to develop and implement success plans for students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide student case management and intervention strategies for students in distress.
  • Coordinate and connect students with health services, academic support, and community resources.
  • Offer personalized support to students facing challenges related to basic needs and mental health.
  • Maintain communication with Residential Life staff regarding students of concern.
  • Develop and execute initiatives and outreach programs to foster student well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of services rendered and uphold confidentiality of student records.
  • Support the assessment and evaluation of support services' impact on student success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of work-related experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with students of concern and behavioral health issues.
  • Experience in case management with documentation and tracking skills.
  • Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
