About the position

The Undergraduate Student Engagement Coordinator at Arizona State University plays a crucial role in enhancing student retention by managing undergraduate research programs and coordinating student engagement events. This position involves collaboration with faculty and staff to support undergraduate communications and outreach, ensuring a vibrant and supportive academic environment for students. The coordinator will also assist in various student services and programming initiatives, contributing to the overall success of the College of Global Futures.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate aspects of undergraduate research programs, including faculty project calls and student application management.
  • Develop and manage undergraduate newsletters for both online and campus immersion students.
  • Assist with outreach and event advertising efforts for undergraduate programs.
  • Lead the development and coordination of engagement opportunities, both in-person and remote.
  • Support student success initiatives, including addressing student concerns and sharing success stories.
  • Participate in programming for various stages of the undergraduate experience, from orientation to graduation.
  • Assist with financial paperwork related to activities and events.
  • Represent the college on various committees and provide information to faculty and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Project management skills and experience.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize work in a changing environment.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Experience working on a higher education campus.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with systems such as PeopleSoft, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Interest or experience in sustainability, innovation, or related fields.
  • Experience using various software for scheduling and document management.
