About the position
The Utilization Review & Discharge Planning Registered Nurse (RN) position at Barrett Hospital & HealthCare is focused on conducting utilization reviews for inpatients, observation patients, and swing bed patients. The role involves reviewing charges and performing discharge planning, while also assisting the Quality Services/Risk Management Director with quality and performance improvement projects. Responsibilities
- Conduct utilization review on inpatients, observation patients, and swing bed patients.
- Review charges for all inpatient and swing bed patients.
- Perform discharge planning for all inpatient and swing bed patients.
- Assist the Quality Services/Risk Management Director with quality and performance improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and RN license required.
- Computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical record documentation.
- Minimum of five years of related healthcare or hospital experience preferred.
