About the position

First Station Media is seeking a full-time Copy Editor & Copywriter to enhance their content quality across various platforms. The role involves editing and writing copy for social media, press releases, brochures, and websites, requiring strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills. The position emphasizes collaboration with other copywriters, graphic designers, and web developers, making effective communication essential. A background in digital media, SEO, and web editing is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit copy for social media posts including Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and Instagram.
• Edit copy for press releases, brochures, flyers, and other forms of advertisements.
• Research industry trends.
• Communicate with copywriters, graphic designers, and clients.
• Follow First Station Media guidelines and processes.
• Be open to constructive criticism and bring creative, innovative ideas to the team.

Requirements

• Immaculate writing and editing skills.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and how they work (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Background in SEO and digital content, including web editing, strongly preferred.
• Eye for detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized.
• Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision and also in a group setting.
• Ability to multitask.
• Experience and comfort with social media; willing to become verified by specific platforms.
• Bachelor's Degree or working toward a Bachelor's Degree in a related field (English, Journalism, and/or Literature).
• Impeccable editing skills; grammatical and punctuation prowess are extremely important.
