About the position

The Copy Writer is responsible for creating compelling advertising copy for various media formats to promote the sale of goods and services. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their products and advertising needs, as well as editing and presenting drafts for approval. The Copy Writer must effectively communicate messages tailored to the target audience, ensuring that the sales message resonates with customers.

Responsibilities

• Write advertising copy for publication or broadcast media.
• Edit or rewrite existing copy as necessary and submit for approval by supervisor.
• Vary language and tone of messages based on product and medium.
• Discuss with clients the product, advertising themes, methods, and necessary changes in advertising copy.
• Present drafts and ideas to clients.
• Write to customers in their terms and on their level for better reception of the sales message.
• Write articles, bulletins, sales letters, speeches, and other marketing and promotional materials.

Requirements

• Strong writing skills to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the audience.
