Responsibilities

  • Execute blog strategy to meet content strategy and SEO outcomes.
  • Contribute to the editorial calendar and content strategy for timely publication.
  • Engage in creative concepting and brainstorming for effective communication strategies.
  • Create clear and engaging copy for various channels including blogs, websites, and social media.
  • Analyze copy effectiveness to ensure it meets project objectives and drives engagement.
  • Oversee fact-checking and proofreading to maintain high writing quality standards.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all communications align with the brand voice.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Development to produce content that tells the brand story.
  • Advise on the evolution of brand tone and voice with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, creative writing, marketing, or advertising, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience writing for different audiences with a strong portfolio.
  • Proven experience writing successful fundraising appeals and SEO-driven content.
  • Knowledge of SEO, fundraising best practices, and storytelling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum 2 years experience writing fundraising copy.
