We're looking for a copywriter to join our Chicago-area team, someone with a passion for fresh thinking that leads to appropriate results for our clients, and who has fun doing it! This role requires a positive attitude to continuously learn from your peers, individual ambition and a unique creative vision, but the willingness to understand marketing strategies and objectives. As a copywriter at Pepper Group, you will be expected to push the boundaries with your creativity and challenge conventional approaches when appropriate. You should be able to work independently and with a team to create solutions within assigned schedules, approved budgets and project parameters. In this position, you will work on a variety of projects including email campaigns, social posts, blog posts, brochures, videos, ebooks, and web copy. You will need to demonstrate excellent writing and concepting skills, with the ability to write clear, succinct, and persuasive copy. The role also requires the ability to interpret, understand, and simplify complex briefs, presenting complicated products in a clear and simplified manner. Proven work experience in the field with a diverse portfolio and samples is essential, along with excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling copy for various marketing materials including email campaigns, social media posts, blog posts, brochures, videos, ebooks, and web content.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop creative concepts and strategies that align with client objectives.
  • Interpret and simplify complex briefs to produce clear and persuasive messaging.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Continuously learn from peers and adapt to feedback to improve writing and creative skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, advertising, journalism, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in copywriting or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent writing and concepting skills with a diverse portfolio.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in B2B marketing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and tools.
