About the position

The Spanish Copywriter at Lowe's will play a crucial role in creating, editing, and proofreading high-quality content tailored for various marketing channels in Spanish. This position demands the ability to produce world-class Spanish copy that resonates with Lowe's brand voice while demonstrating flexibility in writing both broad brand messages and promotional content. The Spanish Copywriter will be responsible for translating business briefs into consumer-friendly concepts and communications, ensuring that the messaging effectively communicates Lowe's as the preferred retailer for Spanish-speaking customers. A deep understanding of Spanish language nuances and cultural context is essential to succeed in this role. In this position, the Spanish Copywriter will develop and write clear, persuasive, and original Spanish content for a variety of media, including digital platforms, audio, print media, social media posts, email campaigns, and promotional materials. The role involves collaborating with designers and other marketing teams, including the multicultural marketing team, to grasp project objectives and target audiences, ensuring that all content aligns with the overall brand strategy and messaging. The Spanish Copywriter will also edit and proofread Spanish content to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines and tone of voice. Additionally, the Spanish Copywriter will conduct research on industry trends, audience preferences, and the competitive landscape to inform content creation. They will optimize content for SEO and other digital marketing best practices, participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns and content strategies, and present their work to creative directors during daily creative reviews. Maintaining a consistent brand voice across all content and communication channels is a key responsibility, along with utilizing tools like ProofHQ for editing and proofreading and Workfront for job workload management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and write clear, persuasive, and original Spanish content for digital, audio, and print media, including social media posts, email campaigns, and promotional materials.

  • Collaborate with designers and other marketing teams, including the multicultural marketing team, to understand project objectives and target audiences, ensuring content aligns with overall brand strategy and messaging.
  • Edit and proofread Spanish content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, audience preferences, and competitive landscape to inform content creation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in English or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in advertising/marketing as a Copy Editor or Proofreader.
  • Demonstrated detail-orientation with a bias to accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including expert knowledge of the English language, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
