About the position

As a Copywriter in the Brand Innovation Lab team at Amazon Advertising, you will be at the forefront of creating unique and innovative campaigns for a diverse array of global brands. This role requires you to collaborate closely with art directors, designers, program managers, and producers to leverage the Amazon canvas, which includes platforms like Alexa, Twitch, and Prime Video. Your primary focus will be on leading projects and nurturing client relationships, ensuring that the work you produce not only meets the creative standards but also delivers tangible benefits to the end customer. With the constant evolution of technology, you will have ample opportunities to push the creative boundaries and develop groundbreaking solutions for our clients. In this position, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, writing, and executing compelling ad campaigns and experiences that resonate with audiences. You will work independently to lead campaigns while collaborating with internal teams, clients, and external agency partners. Your exceptional writing skills will be crucial in crafting content that attracts, retains, and grows an audience. You will also be expected to showcase a data-driven mindset, demonstrating a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences to create impactful work that delivers results. Your day-to-day activities will include partnering with various teams to develop creative content, presenting ideas to clients and internal stakeholders, and managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and inspire junior designers and creatives, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment within the team. The Brand Innovation Lab is dedicated to creating one-of-a-kind campaigns for major advertisers, and your contributions will play a vital role in shaping the future of advertising at Amazon.

Responsibilities

  • Concept, write and execute innovative ad campaigns and experiences for global brands
  • Partner with art directors, designers, program managers, developers and producers to create customer-focused solutions that deliver on advertiser objectives
  • Independently lead campaigns and collaborate with internal teams, clients and external agency partners
  • Create campaigns through exceptional writing skills that attract, retain, and grow an audience
  • Showcase being data-driven and obsessed with understanding customers and making work that delivers results
  • Present ideas and concepts to clients, agencies and internally
  • Proven ability to ideate for film, print, digital, out-of-home, experiential and social
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time to make aggressive deadlines
  • Mentor and inspire younger designers and creatives

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience at advertising agencies and/or in-house creative departments
  • Must have an online portfolio URL in your resume demonstrating big, campaignable thinking that can extend into any medium
  • Strong understanding of digital and social platforms, as well as their use within marketing
  • Exceptional writing skills that demonstrate the ability to create campaign content that attracts, retains, and grows an audience
  • Experience in audio-only media
