About the position

Harrah's Resort SoCal is looking for a creative and innovative Advertising Copywriter to join their internal marketing agency. The role involves developing engaging brand messaging and writing copy for various marketing materials in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in marketing and advertising writing, be a team player, and possess a fun and collaborative attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit in-brand language for web, email, and print materials.
  • Support the Advertising Team with direct marketing mail pieces, posters, fliers, and banners.
  • Participate in creative kick-offs and contribute new ideas to elevate brand messaging.
  • Stay updated on trends in advertising and branding to bring fresh content ideas.
  • Check all creative work for accuracy prior to submission.
  • Maintain and save creative files and samples of all produced copy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, advertising, or marketing.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing, branding, or advertising agency.
  • Ability to write witty and inventive copy for various formats under tight deadlines.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with workflow management systems.
  • Portfolio showcasing a variety of copy including headlines, taglines, and long-form articles.
