About the position

The Copywriter for Guest Communications at Royal Caribbean Group is responsible for creating and managing digital content across various platforms, including email, SMS, and push notifications. This role emphasizes brand consistency and quality, requiring collaboration with internal teams to meet strategic business needs while adhering to deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Concept and write email, SMS, and push notifications, as well as other digital collateral.
  • Partner with department coder and Lead to present multiple creative conceptual options.
  • Drive brand consistency through the development and implementation of brand guidelines for copy.
  • Ensure timely release of new creative campaigns and deliverables.
  • Provide copy direction and support to other internal client teams.
  • Proofread and review final material, suggesting improvements as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Knowledge of English grammar and punctuation.
  • Knowledge of Universal Spanish grammar and punctuation is preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and clear communication skills.
  • Familiarity with digital media and mass communications.
  • Knowledge of web writing and SEO best practices is a plus.
  • Software experience in Mac and Windows applications including Word and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of visual design programs is considered a plus.
  • Minimum of BA in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or related field.
  • 3-5 years writing experience in advertising or related field.
