About the position

The Copywriter II role at Finance of America Reverse involves creating impactful and original copy across various mediums, including web, email, social media, radio, and TV. The position aims to resonate with target audiences while achieving strategic business objectives. The copywriter will conduct thorough research, collaborate with creative teams, and ensure compliance with brand and legal standards.

Responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging copy that is on-brand and strategically aligned.
• Conduct thorough research and stay updated on copywriting trends.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to create impactful long and short-form copy.
• Participate in kickoff and brainstorm calls for creative projects.
• Minimize revisions and approach feedback positively.
• Collaborate with the Creative Director, Senior Copywriter, and Content Director to maintain copy standards.
• Copyedit collateral written by stakeholders across the company.
• Provide options for testing themes and positioning based on research and best practices.
• Meet or exceed company standards of integrity, service, teamwork, and respect.
• Exhibit a sense of urgency in executing job functions and duties.
• Fulfill all copy requests as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; BA in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in copywriting.
• Strong copywriting portfolio and relevant work samples.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong writing, copyediting, creative ideation, and research skills.
• Ability to work within brand, legal, and compliance guidelines.
• Attention to detail and proficiency in AP style.
• Self-motivated and strategically minded.
• Ability to organize and collaborate remotely with tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the mortgage industry or related field is beneficial but not required.
