About the position

The Kemper Scholars Internship Program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various areas of the business, including Product Development, Claims, Operations, Finance, IT, and Data Analytics. Interns will work on special projects that have a real impact on the company and its customers, while also developing valuable professional connections. This 10-week paid internship is designed for juniors and seniors enrolled at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, providing a platform for personal and professional growth in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Write compelling, original, engaging, and compliant content that builds and maintains the brand and marketing voice.
  • Research and understand the organization's diverse needs and target audiences through reviews of existing information and research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings.
  • Craft, edit, and upload copy for a range of materials such as social posts, blog posts, brochures, print and digital ads, emails, training materials, website content, video scripts, and more.
  • Involved in all elements of content creation, from brainstorming and copy concepts to final website upload or print deployment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling copy that drives strategy results.
  • Maintain brand standards and consistency.

Requirements

  • Junior or Senior status enrolled at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
  • Qualifying majors in an academic area related to English, creative writing, or journalism.
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale.
  • Proficient in Spanish and English.
