About the position

The Copywriter Intern position at Kemper is designed for students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in content creation and marketing. This 10-week paid internship will provide opportunities to work on impactful projects that align with Kemper's strategic priorities, allowing interns to develop their skills while contributing to the company's mission of delivering exceptional service to its customers.

Responsibilities

• Write compelling, original, engaging, and compliant content that builds and maintains the brand and marketing voice.
• Research and understand the organization's diverse needs and target audiences through reviews of existing information and research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings.
• Craft, edit, and upload copy for a range of materials such as social posts, blog posts, brochures, print and digital ads, emails, training materials, website content, video scripts, and more.
• Involved in all elements of content creation, from brainstorming and copy concepts to final website upload or print deployment.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling copy that drives strategy results.
• Maintain brand standards and consistency.

Requirements

• Junior or Senior status enrolled at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
• Qualifying majors in an academic area related to English, creative writing, or journalism.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale.
• Proficient in Spanish and English.
