About the position

The Copywriter at Oakmont Senior Living is responsible for generating compelling advertising content and contributing to marketing campaigns. This role is essential in shaping how the company's services are presented and perceived by the audience, aligning messaging with the organization's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail, crafting a wide range of content from marketing materials to press releases and blogs.

Responsibilities

  • Craft compelling and engaging content that captures the essence of Oakmont Management Group's communities and residents.
  • Create a wide range of content, including marketing materials, website copy, press releases, and blogs.
  • Maintain and enhance the company's brand voice and messaging across all content.
  • Develop new brand identities and voices as needed.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment with OMG's brand guidelines and strategic objectives.
  • Stay up to date with industry advancements to create accurate and relevant content.
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and creative teams to gather information and understand project requirements.
  • Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, ensuring adherence to company standards and style guides.
  • Support marketing campaigns by creating compelling copy for advertisements, email campaigns, social media posts, and other promotional materials.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and make revisions as needed.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve content quality and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of work experience in the Senior Housing Industry preferred.
  • Experience with various marketing software and social media platforms, including WordPress and Facebook Business Manager.
  • Experience in writing as part of a brand identity.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs and Google Suite.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to change, make decisions, and prioritize tasks and projects.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the senior living industry.
  • Familiarity with storytelling techniques in marketing.
