About the position

The part-time Copywriter at (matter) will join a creative agency focused on producing impactful work in the advertising and marketing sector, particularly for medical devices. This role emphasizes collaboration within a team, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively while adhering to brand guidelines and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Write copy from concept to end-product, managing multiple projects and tight timelines.
  • Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to ensure creative work is on-brand and effective.
  • Ensure consistency and efficacy of copy throughout all creative outputs.
  • Work within established brand guidelines, adapting writing styles as needed.
  • Contribute to entire campaigns that address consumer needs and business goals.
  • Present creative ideas confidently to leadership and articulate creative decisions with strategic insights.
  • Apply learnings to test creative iterations and best practices.
  • Stay updated on marketing trends and culture to bring fresh ideas to the team.
  • Develop concepts for various advertising formats including branding, TV, social, digital, print, and OOH.
  • Edit and proofread own work for accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with project managers and account teams to ensure project success.
  • Utilize tools like InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, Slack, and Google Slides effectively.
  • Embrace and implement creative feedback to improve work.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of copywriting experience in an advertising/marketing agency or similar setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical device marketing, including regulations and basic anatomy.
  • Degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a similar field (or equivalent knowledge and experience).
  • Cross-functional design and concepting experience.
  • Proven record of impressive advertising collateral and campaign concepts, demonstrated by a digital portfolio.
  • Excellent writing and copy skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Aptitude for design and concepting.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute polished ideas under deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience writing general advertising and marketing copy is a plus.
