About the position

Post Consumer Brands is seeking a talented Copywriter to join our in-house creative studio team, focusing on our pet portfolio. This role is pivotal in driving our marketing and branding efforts, collaborating closely with designers, project managers, external creative partners, and marketing teams. As a Copywriter, you will be responsible for crafting compelling and original copy for a variety of projects, including digital advertisements, social media content, print materials, and e-commerce platforms. Your work will emphasize Shopper Marketing, ensuring that our messaging resonates with consumers and aligns with our brand standards. In this position, you will be expected to write engaging copy that adheres to brand and legal guidelines, participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas, and conduct research on creative and cultural trends. You will partner with designers to develop creative solutions that meet project briefs while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong time management and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with team members and welcome feedback through creative critiques. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities is also crucial in this fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Write original and engaging copy for marketing materials including digital advertisements, social media graphics, and UX optimized website content.
  • Ensure that copy is on brand and consistent with brand and legal guidelines across all design assets.
  • Adhere to campaign standards established by agency partners.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input for new initiatives and projects.
  • Research creative and cultural trends that exist inside and outside the industry.
  • Partner with designers/art directors to develop creative solutions that deliver on creative briefs and brand guidelines.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and project specifications.
  • Communicate proactively and effectively with team members on projects.
  • Welcome feedback through creative critiques and demonstrate an ability to take direction.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of copywriting experience, preferably in an in-house or agency environment.
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of strategic writing, ideation, and strategic thinking across different mediums.
  • Expert editing and proofreading skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Keynote, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Developing communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present/explain creative concepts.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel 15%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is a plus.
