About the position

The Copywriter at Patterson is responsible for creating strategic messaging across various media platforms, including print and online communications. This role involves collaborating with project managers, designers, and clients to develop compelling content that aligns with business goals while maintaining the company's brand voice. The position emphasizes creativity, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Craft strategic messaging for Patterson Companies and its business units.
• Meet with customers to discuss goals and gather details for copy development.
• Collaborate with project managers, art directors, graphic designers, and video editors to create project plans.
• Pitch creative plans and copy to customers.
• Maintain a professional standard and brand voice for all written components.
• Present fresh and creative ideas in a positive tone.
• Learn technical terms and equipment related to Patterson businesses.
• Revise copy and concepts as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field.
• Five years of advertising copywriting experience.
• Strong mastery of writing, copy editing, and proofreading skills.
• Experience writing feature articles, online media, proposals, press releases, and scripts.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and manage multiple projects.
