The Copywriter (Social) position at SoFi involves creating engaging content for various social media platforms to enhance the company's digital presence and drive member engagement. The role requires collaboration with a creative team to develop innovative campaigns that resonate with the audience while maintaining the SoFi brand voice. The ideal candidate should be passionate about social media and possess strong writing skills to produce compelling content that encourages financial independence among members.

Responsibilities

• Develop evergreen content (static and video) for day-to-day posting on social media.
• Concept and execute new ideas for game-changing, thumb-stopping campaigns and properties.
• Collaborate with strategy, product, and certified financial planners to present SoFi's unique perspective on personal finance.
• Iterate on high-performing strategies to consistently drive new member acquisition through social media.
• Stay updated with the latest social media trends and strive to outperform best-in-class brands.
• Maintain SoFi brand voice guidelines while writing engaging copy that prompts reactions and shares.
• Partner with an art director to sell ideas and bring them to life.
• Contribute any additional creative ideas that can enhance the social media strategy.

Requirements

• Strong writing portfolio that includes existing social work across multiple social channels.
• 1-3 years of experience as a junior copywriter at an ad agency, in-house creative department, or freelancing for major brands.
• Ability to both concept and execute ideas, including scripting, shooting, and acting in videos.
• Experience with current social media best practices and trends.
• Comfortable creating a range of content from tweets to long-form videos.
• Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills.
• Self-starter attitude with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to understand technical content and quickly learn new material.
• Interest in/knowledge of personal finance is a major plus.
