About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Copywriter for a one-year contract working remotely out of Milwaukee, WI. This is a unique opportunity for a mid-level copywriter to work in the internal marketing agency of a major financial services company. As a contractor working remotely, you'll be involved in a wide range of interesting projects that require creativity and strategic thinking. You will be responsible for crafting compelling copy that resonates with diverse audiences, including consumer-facing clients and a vast network of financial advisors. Your role will involve creating concepts for various brand campaigns across multiple platforms, including outdoor, digital, social media, landing pages, and emails. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with professional sports teams, enhancing the brand's visibility and engagement. In this position, you will leverage your 5 to 7 years of experience as a copywriter in advertising, ideally with a strong understanding of social media engagement. You will be expected to approach financial brands from a fresh perspective, producing both safe and simple copy as well as more adventurous content. Your ability to distill complex products and services into digestible and appealing language will be crucial. You will work closely with Designers, Art Directors, Creative Producers, and the Insights team, understanding the value of collaboration in achieving the brand's vision. Presenting your work to stakeholders at all levels will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will providing constructive feedback to external ad agencies. Reporting to the Assistant Creative Director, Copy, you will play a vital role in bringing the brand's vision to life through innovative and effective copywriting.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling copy for various marketing channels including digital, social media, outdoor, landing pages, and emails.
  • Develop concepts for brand campaigns and partnerships with professional sports teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with Designers, Art Directors, Creative Producers, and the Insights team.
  • Transform complex financial products and services into clear and engaging language.
  • Present work to stakeholders at all levels and incorporate feedback into revisions.
  • Provide constructive feedback to external advertising agencies.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience as a copywriter in advertising.
  • Experience in engaging audiences on social media.
  • Ability to write both safe and simple copy as well as riskier copy.
  • Strong conceptual skills for brand campaigns and various marketing channels.
  • Experience in creating advertising for both consumer-facing audiences and B2B financial advisors.
  • Ability to distill complex products into digestible language and ideas.
  • Strong presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
