About the position

Kforce has a client seeking a Copywriter in Lakeland, FL. The Copywriter will be responsible for developing creative concepts that align with the company's marketing objectives and strategies, all while maintaining the brand voice. This role involves presenting these concepts to Creative Leadership, Marketing stakeholders, and the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT), and occasionally to stakeholders in the Regional Business Units (RBUs). The Copywriter will collaborate closely with the Art Director to conceptualize and execute advertising campaigns and marketing initiatives. This includes co-directing video shoots, overseeing voice-over recordings, and participating in editing sessions. In addition to creative development, the Copywriter will write, proofread, and edit content and ad copy that meets the approved concepts and strategies. The role requires the creation of effective copy for various customer-facing integrated communications, including print, point-of-purchase (POP) materials, social media, responsive websites (both desktop and mobile), mobile apps, emails, digital ads, direct mail, videos, radio ads, and other necessary content. The Copywriter will also be responsible for reviewing, proofreading, and editing drafts of communication pieces before final publishing. Staying updated on industry and market trends, including evolving technology, is essential. Furthermore, the Copywriter will foster the professional growth of fellow associates and develop unique concepts that support marketing business objectives and strengthen the company's brand. The position may offer the flexibility of working from home two days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative concepts that align with marketing objectives and strategies in the company's brand voice.
  • Present concepts to Creative Leadership, Marketing stakeholders, and the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or Liberal Arts or equivalent experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience writing advertising copy; 4 years preferred.
  • Knowledge of concept development process.
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital media channels, including best practices, strengths, and limitations.
  • Knowledge of Marketing department workflow processes and project lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of marketing/advertising industry and trends.
  • Knowledge of the company brand positioning and lines of business.
  • Knowledge of the company's target customer, retail environments, and purchasing behaviors.
  • Knowledge of business objectives.
  • Deep, broad knowledge of English and grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Highly skilled in concepting a variety of advertising elements.
