About the position

The Copywriter at Angel Studios is responsible for creating compelling brand stories and ensuring effective communication across various platforms. This role involves collaboration with creators and internal teams to develop messaging that resonates with audiences while maintaining the integrity of the brand. The Copywriter will also be tasked with editing content, optimizing for SEO, and contributing to the overall marketing strategy of the company.

Responsibilities

• Work with creators to cement their voice and key messaging around their project
• Write original copy for ads, social media, email, landing pages, and other mediums
• Edit and fact-check pieces of content generated by other colleagues and writers
• Deeply understand the nuance of the brands, channels, and audiences we are writing for
• Shape language and tone to execute on strong, concise, and cohesive messaging that will elevate brand objectives
• Tastefully weave between strong brand story language and conversion copywriting
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop effective messaging direction
• Execute on fleshing out the learnings into front-facing brand and campaign messaging
• Research industry-related topics and identify gaps in our content
• Liaise with designers and videographers to enrich text with visual aids, like images, charts, graphics, and animations
• Prepare and publish articles that describe our company and products
• Use SEO practices to optimize articles and increase visibility
• Attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years writing and editing for multiple brands
• Excellent creative writing skills
• Capable of managing workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment
• Exceptional listener with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Detail-oriented perspective and able to pick up on overlooked details
• Organization and time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
• Resourceful and able to problem-solve and manage tasks with ambiguity
• Ability to take feedback positively and create better solutions
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
