About the position

TMA is seeking a Copywriter who is not only a big thinker but also a doer. In this role, every word you put to paper must be strategically sound and grammatically impeccable. You will not just write ads; you will craft conversations that your audience will welcome. The ideal candidate can see things from multiple perspectives—the client, the consumer, and your team at TMA. You should be able to stay two steps ahead of the client in their own industry, demonstrating a proactive approach to your work. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can advocate for their work and effectively sell their ideas. From social media and advertising headlines to the finest product copy details, no job is too small, and no deadline is too tight. You should be passionate about writing and creativity, embodying a mindset that allows you to channel your creativity into great writing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute concepts for various media including radio, broadcast, promotional, in-store, and social.
  • Handle all copywriting duties within a group, from social media to signage to long-form web copy.
  • Understand input from Creative Directors and clients, and effectively apply feedback to creative executions.
  • Bring culturally relevant ideas that are both visionary and executable within budget constraints.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client, cultural, and business trends.
  • Effectively build relationships with teammates and clients.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the marketplace our clients operate in, including strategy and the competitive landscape.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in copywriting or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • Strong online portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Strong concepting skills and creativity.
  • Experience in the technology field is a bonus.
  • Experience writing and overseeing production processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to creatively and strategically solve multiple problems under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to brainstorm independently or in groups to develop big ideas from beginning to end.

Nice-to-haves
