About the position

The eCommerce Copywriter at Pacsun is responsible for creating engaging product descriptions that enhance the customer experience and product knowledge. This role involves composing a high volume of original and creative product copy for various retail products and lifestyle brands, while collaborating with merchandising and digital marketing teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience across all platforms.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging product descriptions to enhance customer experience.
• Compose original and creative product copy for a variety of retail products.
• Collaborate with merchandising and digital marketing teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience.
• Input product data and copy, previewing and releasing product detail pages before going live.
• Proofread and self-edit all materials to ensure correct and consistent copy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communication, English, journalism, advertising, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of copywriting experience.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to seek help when necessary.
• Aptitude for analytical thought and copy evaluation.
• Familiarity with eCommerce storefront platforms (Salesforce, Demandware, Magento, Shopify, etc.) is preferred.
