About the position

The Professional Copywriter at POWERS Insurance and Risk Management will be responsible for developing and executing messaging strategies that enhance brand visibility and drive conversions. This role requires a strong background in email marketing, SEO best practices, and persuasive writing to support sales and marketing initiatives across various channels.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit clear, compelling, and persuasive copy for email campaigns, blog posts, landing pages, website content, and social media posts.
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, focusing on segmentation, A/B testing, and personalization.
  • Optimize web content, blogs, and landing pages using SEO best practices to improve organic search rankings.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging across all channels while tailoring copy for specific platforms and audiences.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and design teams to understand campaign goals and translate them into persuasive messaging.
  • Analyze and monitor the effectiveness of copy through data-driven insights, adjusting strategies to improve engagement and conversions.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of professional copywriting experience, with at least 2 years in the insurance industry or a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across formats including email marketing, blogs, landing pages, and long-form content.
  • Expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar email marketing platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of SEO best practices and experience using SEO tools such as Google Analytics and Ahrefs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email formatting and landing page optimization.

  • Experience with A/B testing and data-driven content strategies.
  • Ability to think creatively to develop fresh, innovative approaches to content.
