About the position

We are seeking an experienced Copywriter who is passionate about creating imaginative and informative content. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a team of writers and graphic designers to produce high-quality content tailored for the graphic design community. This role involves crafting various forms of content, including blogs, public relations articles, and extensive content pieces. Additionally, the Copywriter will be responsible for developing website copy, which includes writing product descriptions and design gallery descriptions. The Copywriter will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence by writing engaging website copy, such as product descriptions and design gallery descriptions. They will also be tasked with creating large content pieces, including e-books and newsletters, as well as public relations materials, SEO copy, and guest posts. Researching and writing blog posts will be a significant part of the job, along with uploading content and coding blog posts using HTML in WordPress. Collaboration is key in this position, as the Copywriter will work closely with graphic designers to create compelling images and make minor adjustments using Adobe Creative Suite. Proofreading and editing materials produced by other writers will also be part of the responsibilities. The Copywriter will merchandise the website by adding, editing, and removing products, assist in managing vendors, and support the COO with marketing and sales team initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Write website copy, such as product descriptions and design gallery descriptions
  • Write copy for large content pieces, such as e-books or newsletters
  • Write public relations pieces, SEO copy, and guest posts
  • Research and write blog posts
  • Upload content and code blog posts using HTML in Wordpress
  • Work with graphic designers to create images
  • Make minor image adjustments using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proofread and edit materials created by other writers
  • Merchandise the website including adding, editing, and removing products
  • Assist in the management of our vendors
  • Assist the COO with marketing and sales team initiatives

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience producing high quality web content
  • Professional writing voice that can adapt to a variety of styles
  • Ability to structure blog posts and website copy in a logical sequence
  • Excellent editorial skills in areas of accuracy, voice, readability, and grammar
  • Ability to conduct thorough, credible research and organize findings
  • Strong collaborative skills with both in-house and remote teams
  • Familiarity with HTML coding and Wordpress

Nice-to-haves

  • Graphic design or print industry knowledge
  • Ecommerce or merchandising experience
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Basic SEO knowledge
